As the fabric works like unsanforised denim, there are several ways that you can size them depending on how you intend to wash them after wearing them:

No Washing

Denim heads around the world will swear by never washing their jeans so that they can get the most extreme fading over time possible. This is also the most environmentally friendly way of taking care of your jeans as you won't use up any more water or energy. If you want to go hardcore and never wash your new ED-1's then buy the size you would usually buy on the high street.

Cold Soaking

Those who would prefer to not risk their jeans starting to smell like a vintage store or their grandmothers wardrobe usually go for the cold soak method. Every couple of months (or when the jeans start to produce bad smells) they will soak the jeans in lukewarm water in the bath or shower them off. This is still very environmentally friendly as you aren't using up energy to take care of them. If you prefer this method then size up on the jeans by 1" to give you a little bit of room for when the fabric slightly shrinks.

Washing Machine

If you want a hassle free way to clean your jeans then stick them in the washing machine! Make sure you size up 2" as this method will get all the shrink out of the fabric. Not very environmentally friendly but you can get some good fades by washing them every so often.
